A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

I am an art and programming director for a non profit art center.

2. Why do you make art?

To make physical what my imagination demands.

3. What inspires you?

The natural world, especially clouds and swamps.

4. What/who are your influences?

Klee, Botero or Mexican painters of the ‘40s, Burchfield, Dove, folk artists, Midwestern Magical Realists and Gaudi among others.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

Salvador Dali.
